Dental Implants

Long-lasting tooth replacement that looks and feels natural.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are small titanium posts that replace the roots of missing teeth. The procedure involves surgical placement in the jawbone, followed by attachment of a lifelike porcelain crown. Some cases require several months for bone fusion before permanent crowning; others allow temporary teeth placement on the same day.

How many teeth can be replaced?

Options range from single tooth replacement to full mouth restoration. As few as two implants can support a removable lower denture, while as few as four implants can provide a full, permanent set of top or bottom teeth.

Is the surgery painful?

The procedure is well-tolerated by most patients, with manageable post-operative discomfort controlled through over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or ice application.

Are dental implants expensive?

Initial costs exceed alternatives like dentures or bridges, but implants provide superior long-term value as a lasting investment requiring no replacement.

How do you care for them?

They require exactly the same care as natural teeth: daily brushing and flossing, along with regular dental checkups and professional cleanings. Implant teeth won't decay, but gum tissues require maintenance.

Can my body reject an implant?

Rejection doesn't occur since implants contain no living cells. Titanium is biocompatible with extremely rare allergies. Failure occurs only through infection or premature force application — success rates exceed 95%.

Am I a candidate?

Candidacy requires a complete oral examination with jaw x-rays. We recommend a consultation to determine your eligibility.
